Grampian Man Waives Hearing on Charge of Indecent Assault

DUBOIS – Albert Lee Haag, 60, Grampian, waived his right to a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Patrick N. Ford on Friday.

Haag is charged with indecent assault and corruption of minors. A charge of involuntary deviate sexual assault was dropped.

The charges stem from an incident that took place between June 2004 and May 2005. A girl, 16 at the time went to watch over a sick acquaintance. It was reported that Haag was staying there as well.

During the time they were at the residence together, it was reported that Haag made sexual advances on the girl in her bed. Another incident happened prior to the first one mentioned, this one on the porch

According to the girl’s mother, the girl has a form of mental retardation. This was confirmed by a psychiatrist who evaluated the girl. According to the affidavit of probable cause, the girl has a mild form of mental retardation.

Haag is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
