SR 879 Lane Restriction Planned

CLEARFIELD – PennDOT’s state Route 879 project in Clearfield continues, with a lane restriction set to begin Saturday.

Starting Saturday, motorists will encounter a single-lane condition along SR 879 between River Road and the U.S. Route 322 exit. The one-lane, alternating traffic pattern will be regulated by a traffic signal. PennDOT expects the restriction to be in place for seven to 10 days. The lane restriction is necessary in order to perform additional bridge work.

All work is weather-dependent.

Drivers will experience short delays as they move through the work zone restriction. PennDOT expects the entire project to be complete in November.

The contractor on the $5.5 million project is HRI Inc.

PennDOT reminds motorists to drive with caution, follow detour directions and signs, obey posted speed limits, and to always buckle up.
