CLEARFIELD – If you missed GantDaily’s GantNite Thursday, you missed not only fantastic food, wonderful wines and cool company, but there were plenty of things to win.
The big prize of the night went to John H.C. Lee, who won the INpulse Verizon Wireless pre-paid cell phone from GantDaily in partnership with The Phone Guys of Clearfield and DuBois.
Other prizes, including official Gant T-shirts, Starr Hill wine glasses, corkscrews and T-shirts and Legend’s hats were also given away during the event.
“We had a great turnout for our second GantNite,” Dawn Walls, GantDaily editor said. “We were definitely pleased that so many people were able to share in the event, which was held in conjunction with Legend’s anniversary.”
“I want to thank all of my employees for eight years of loyal service,” said Mike “Nerd” Morrison, owner of the bar and restaurant, who made an addition to the drink selections at the bar in honor of the milestone.
“A lot of people had a chance to sample the wines including Nerd’s Blend/Bailey Road Red, with a special label to mark the occasion” said Walls.
The wine will continue to be available for consumption at the bar in the future. Morrison said he also plans to have several other varieties available.
As for Starr Hill, they are looking at celebrating their first anniversary next month, and the next event on their schedule is Octoberfest on Oct. 7.
