LUMBER CITY — Clearfield Area High School finished sixth and Curwensville tied for eighth place in the Curwensville Boys Invitational at the Eagles Ridge Golf Club Tuesday that ended with the top four teams separated by only four strokes.
Punxsutawney won the title with a 339, followed by favored Brookville at 340, Ridgway at 341 and DuBois Central Catholic at 342.
C.G. Mercatoris of Brookville earned individual honors with a 75 at the par-70 layout. Drew Nedzinski of DuBois Central Catholic was second with a 76.
Clearfield posted a 374 as Matt Duncan was 21st with a 90, Brandon Boyer 23rd with a 91 and Adam Rowles 30th with a 95. Mark Krchnak\’s 98 completed the Bisons\’ total. Mike Kritzer, the other Bison entry, had a 106.
Curwensville deadlocked with Kane at 378 on a 90 by Brandon Miller, 92s by Eric Kendall and Andrew Straw and a 104 by Bob Swatsworth. Ty Clutter carded a 111.
