Fire Policeman Struck Saturday While Directing Traffic

CLEARFIELD – Robert Neeper of Hyde was struck by a tractor trailer while directing traffic Saturday on state Routes 322/153 at the Mount Zion exit.

According to the Lawrence Township Police department, Neeper was struck on his left side by a New Jersey trucker who is a temporary citizen. The man apparently told police that he did not realize he had to stop, but did admit to hitting Neeper.

A status on Neeper was not available from the police department.
