Bison Golfers Lose to DuBois

HYDE — DuBois defeated Clearfield Area High School\’s boys team 364-394 in an Allegheny Mountain League South Division golf match at the Clearfield-Curwensville Country Club Thursday afternoon.

The Beavers\’ Nick Knisely was medalist with an 82, while Matt Duncan had the low round for the Bisons with an 87.
DuBois got a 91 from Jake Smithtro, a 94 from Ryan Foltz and a 97 from Brant Honchar. Chris Jewell and Matt Goodman posted 101s.
Mark Krchnak\’s 99, Brandon Boyer\’s 102 and Ryan Gallaher\’s 106 rounded out Clearfield\’s total. Adam Rowles and Mike Kritzer checked in with a 107 and 108, respectively.
Coach Willie Vokes\’ Bisons dropped to 1-3 in the league and 2-4 overall for next Thursday\’s trip to Punxsutawney.
In the junior varsity match, the Bisons were beaten 144-170. Zach Unch\’s 54 topped the hosts, while Derek Lippert had a 57, Troy Graham and John Williams had 59s and I.BE. Ingle had a 62.
For the Dubois jayvees, Steve Campbell and Cody Shekel matched 47s and Drew Cleary added a 50.
