CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action Inc. is pleased to announce its first major fundraising campaign. The Agency will hold the 2006 Workplace Gamz on Oct. 5 at the Expo I Building, Clearfield Driving Park in Clearfield.
The event will give co-workers the chance to get together for a day of fun and competition with other workplaces. The games will also work to build teamwork among co-workers.
Each team will consist of five co-workers, plus one alternate. Each team should have an original name, team names will be judged based on creativity with an award. Your team will need to gather pledge donations with a minimum entry donation of $300 per team. Any team that reaches the $600 donation pledge mark will have the opportunity to compete in a special event for a traveling trophy.
The games will be related to work environments and will have different point values.
Awards will be given out for best team name, the team that raises the most pledge money, team champions, and the special event winner. Door prizes will also be awarded throughout the evening.
Registration starts at 5 p.m. with food following, all competitors must be registered by 5:45 p.m. as competition starts promptly at 6 p.m. All teams will compete in the order they register.
Participation will help the 14,000 disadvantaged individuals CPCA serves yearly in both Centre and ClearfieldCounties with affordable housing, employment training and placement, case management, food services, weatherization, housing rehabilitation, heating and utility assistance, and transportation service.
