DuBois Police Investigate Death

DUBOIS – DuBois City Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 25-year-old DuBois man.

Reports from police indicate that the death of the man was possibly drug-related and happened at a residence on South Main Street Monday.

During the past month, police have investigated three other heroin-related overdoses, one of which resulted in the death of a 44-year-old DuBois woman on East Long Avenue. Two others, according to police, “nearly took the lives of an 18-year-old woman and 23-year-old man at a residence (in) Albert’s Court.”

Police related that officers in the Albert’s Court incident found the man and woman unresponsive and not breathing when they arrived. Both people were able to be revived by responding medical personnel before being transported to DuBois Regional Medical Center for further treatment.

While in the hospital, both the man and woman admitted to using heroin.
Officers have obtained further information relating to these incidents, and the investigations continue.
