CLEARFIELD – It’s likely a question you’re apt to hear this week: “If you win, which would you pick?”
Now, the person could be referring to the many options at Fat Albert’s on the midway, but it’s more likely they’re talking about the Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department’s car booth.
The mainstay of the Clearfield County Fair is located between the grandstand and the Expo I building, a big red “knock-down” stand that has become the favorite place to go for those who think luck just might be on their side.
The first-place winner this year will choose from one of vehicle prizes or $18,000 in cash.
Options include a Dodge Caliber or a Jeep Wrangler from C Classic Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep; a Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic from DuBois Harley-Davidson; a Chevrolet Impala, a Chevrolet Colorado or a Pontiac G6 from Fred Diehl’s of Philipsburg; two packages from Mountain Extreme Inc. including a Yamaha Raptor, a Yamaha Grizzly, a Yamaha V-Star and an Alpha Sport; and a package from Carns Equipment Co. including two Arctic Cat all-terrain vehicles, two Arctic Cat snowmobiles and a trailer. And of course, there’s always the cash, an option last year’s car winner chose.
If a first-place win doesn’t pan out, there are still two more prizes up for grabs with the $1 per chance fee.
Second prize is a computer supplied by Eagle Haven Computers Inc., and third prize is a 51-inch Magnavox widescreen projection HDTV.
All prizes will be given away Saturday at midnight. GantDaily will post the winners here as soon as they are available.
