I-80 travel lane between DuBois and Penfield to be closed next week

CLEARFIELD – Concrete patching and bituminous overlay work will begin Monday on Interstate 80, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The eastbound travel lane from mile marker 101 (DuBois) to mile marker 105 will be closed for approximately five weeks. Work will then be performed on the passing lane, which will require closure for approximately three weeks.There will be a speed limit of 50 mph through the work zone.

Motorists could encounter delays.

The contractor on this $4 million project is HRI Inc., and all work is weather-dependent.

PennDOT thanks motorists for their patience during this work and reminds drivers to remain cautious, obey posted speed limits and to always buckle up.
