CLEARFIELD – Two questions remain in the minds of many people in Clearfield County.
The first still hasn’t been answered: What band is coming to repace Foreigner? The second mystery, though, has been solved.
A posting on the Foreigner Web site shows that the vocalist for the band, Kelly Hansen, is suffering from acid reflux and had to cancel several shows.
“First of all, I would like to thank all of you who have been so supportive to me and Foreigner since the reformation last year. As you may know, we have been traveling around the world to approximately 20 countries on four continents since January introducing everyone to the new lineup, and it’s been a blast,” Hansen posted on the Web site’s forum through the help of the site’s administrator.
“Along the way, about the time of our Australian shows, I seemed to catch some kind of stomach bug that just wouldn’t let go of me, one of the side effects being a type of acid reflux. Then as we continued touring, this condition, combined with an extremely heavy touring schedule caused me to start experiencing a growing issue with laryngitis.”
Hansen went on to explain that he needed to resolve the situation immediately before more damage was caused.
The band canceled a total of four shows (Harrington, Del.; Kansas City; Janesville, Wis.; and Clearfield) so Hansen could receive treatment and recover.
“We will make every effort possible to come to your area again soon so we can meet and rock together!”
The news likely is not what Foreigner fans want because “The Damage is Done.”
One question is answered, but ticketholders are still waiting to hear an answer as to who will be brought in for Tuesday’s entertainment at the fair.
GantDaily will have information on the fair board’s decision as soon as information is made available.
