Fair board re-negotiating manager’s contract

CLEARFIELD – At the regular Clearfield County Fair and Park Board meeting held July 6, the board agreed not to renew the employment agreement with  park manager Leon Meyer as the agreement is currently written.

However, the board is re-negotiating the terms of the agreement with Meyer.

According to information released Friday, the board realizes the importance of having a manager to promote the park and bring in events to benefit the community. In regards to events held this year, such as the Thrills in the Hills, the Board is holding all discussion and decision on the future of these events until after this year’s fair.

Plans for fall events are continuing including a monster truck show and a gun show.
