CLEARFIELD – With a little more than two weeks until the start of the Clearfield County Fair, July 31 to Aug. 5, ticket sales are brisk for nightly entertainment on the grandstand stage with just one section — track seats for Poison on Aug. 4 — no longer available.
According to Ingrid Hallstrom Owens of the ticket office staff, “Things are good. The phones are ringing and the window is busy. But we have tickets for everything except Poison’s track seats. The rest are still available.”
The first day for phone orders was June 19, while the ticket office window opened July 3.
The staff recommends, with time growing short, calling or stopping in person to secure tickets. The office is open Monday through Friday from noon to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The phone number is 765-1749. Phone or mail orders received after July 21 will be held at the ticket office for pick up, Hallstrom noted.
The week’s line up begins with the parade and fireworks on July 3, Foreigner on Aug. 1,
Martha and the Vandellas,
and Maxine Nightingale
on Aug. 2, truck and tractor pull on Aug. 3, Poison on Aug. 4 and, on Aug. 5, a demolition derby at noon with
and The Oak Ridge Boys
at 8 p.m.
All shows begin at 8 p.m. except the parade, which kicks off at 6 p.m.
