REYNOLDSVILLE – A potentially dangerous situation was averted in Reynoldsville Borough, Jefferson County, Tuesday night when several hand grenades were confiscated by authorities.
The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency reports that the weapons were found within a residence, and they will be disposed of by the Erie City Bomb Squad.
The report showed that the incident happened at about 10 p.m.
As a result of the find, several state and federal agencies were notified, including the FBI; the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms; the offices of the attorney general and Homeland Security; and state police.
The report did not say how the items were found.
