Clearfield American Legion Team Still in Hunt for League Title

BROOKVILLE — Brandon Evans blanked Laurel Eye Clinic on two hits as the Clearfield Legion remained in the thick of the  Jefferson County Legion League (JCLL) title chase with a 7-0 victory Monday night.

The Chiefs\’ righthander struck out 10 and walked two.
Beau Ryan and Alex Billotte each had a trio of singles, Shane Davis socked two doubles and Evans had two singles for the Chiefs, who are 9-3 in the league, and battling DuBois and Punxsutawney for the top spot in the JCLL. Drew Hipps contributed a two-run single. Billotte, Adam Jury, Max Condon and Andrew Janocko added RBI-singles. 
The Chiefs, 15-5 overall, will host Punxsutawney in an important JCLL test Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Clearfield Area High School Sports Complex.
