Coalport VFW burglarized

COALPORT – Police are investigating a burglary that happened early Monday morning at the Coalport Veterans of Foreign Wars.

State police at Clearfield report that troopers responded to a burglar alarm at the club, and upon entering the parking lot, two people fled the area on foot.

One man, Thomas Boyer, 19, of Altoona was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge James Hawkins and placed in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 bail. Police are still investigating two other suspects in the case.

Reports did not say what, if anything, was taken in the incident.
