Annual bike giveaway at Thrills in the Hills

CLEARFIELD – There will be plenty of ways to get some “thrills” in the hills this weekend at Thrills in the Hills, but one lucky person will go home on a new ride.

The Clearfield Chamber of Commerce is selling chances to win a 2006 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail Classic. The winner will also have the option of taking $16,000 in cash. Tickets for the bike are $20 each and are still available at the chamber’s table in Expo I at the Clearfield Driving Park.

Three other winners will also be drawn for other prizes. Second prize is a $300 gift certificate for DuBois Harley-Davidson. Third prize is a 32-inch RCA television, and fourth prize is a Harley-Davidson table lamp.

All of the prizes will be awarded at 8:45 p.m. Saturday before the John Kay & Steppenwolf concert.

The Clearfield Cycle Club is also offering a motorcycle for one lucky person.

The club is selling chances on a 2006 Harley-Davidson 883 Sportster or $5,000 in cash. Tickets cost $10 each.

The bike will be given away on July 29, the same day as the club’s annual Christmas in July Toy Run, which donates toys the club collects to the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

As a bonus, anyone who buys a ticket at the group’s booth in Expo I receives a free chance on a gas grill donated by Wal-Mart Distribution Center No. 6027. The grill will be awarded Sunday.

Second prize for the cycle club is $300 cash, and third prize is $200 cash.
