CLEARFIELD – Clearfield County Judge Paul E. Cherry decided against lowering bail for one of the five people charged in connection with an April drug bust.
Lee R. Jackson of Pittsburgh is charged with numerous counts including possession of heroin, cocaine and marijuana with intent to deliver and receiving stolen property.
Jackson’s bail was set at $500,000 monetary, the same amount set for the other four people involved when they first went before a judge on the charges. Only one person involved in the case, Trevor Sheaffer of Clearfield, had bail reduced to $25,000 monetary. He posted bail on April 27.
Amber Ickes of Clearfield and Mario Cumberbatch and Rason Battle, both of Brooklyn, N.Y., were also charged after the bust.
The five were arrested after a search warrant was served on a Park Avenue apartment April 5. Inside the apartment, officers seized heroin, crack cocaine, marijuana, $3,000 in cash an a handgun that had been reported as stolen.
Battle is scheduled for a preliminary hearing on the charges Wednesday.
