Preparedness is a vital step for everyone in this age of unpredictability. Do you have a disaster supply kit? Do you have a fire escape plan? Are you ready to be sheltering in place in your home for days with no electricity; are you familiar with the Pandemic Flu steps to avoid spreading the disease and for home care of the ill?

Are you trained in lifesaving FA/CPR? Would you know what to do in case of a Emergency? The American Red Cross can help. Call 765-5516 or 849-2712 for more information or guidance in Getting Prepared!

Having provided comfort and aid to those in need since 1881, the Red Cross quickly adopted Blood Services as a fundamental part of its humanitarian mission.

Started as a war relief effort to provide life-saving blood for soldiers during World War II, Red Cross Blood Services has grown to become an industry leader — collecting and distributing half the nation's blood supply.

All the technology and science, however, is only made possible by one simple selfless act: An average person takes time out of his busy schedule to give a piece of himself so that someone he will never know has a chance to live. This incredible act of kindness, that allows a stranger to celebrate another birthday, give birth to a child, or share another Thanksgiving dinner with family and friends, is at the heart of what we do.
Blood donors are always needed. To give blood be at least 17 years old or 16 years old if allowed by state law, weigh at least 110 pounds, and not have donated blood in the last 8 weeks (56 days). "Healthy" means that you feel well and can perform normal activities. If you have a chronic condition such as diabetes or high blood pressure, "healthy" also means that you are being treated and the condition is under control. See our listed bloodmobiles below and call for your appointment or donor eligibility questions at 1-800-542-5663
