Pedestrian Transported to Altoona After Accident

PHILIPSBURG – A 50-year-old Philipsburg male pedestrian was airlifted to the Altoona Hospital for treatment of major injuries that he sustained in a Tuesday afternoon accident, the Philipsburg-based State Police reported today.

According to the report, a vehicle operated by Timothy J. Renner, 32, of Philipsburg, was traveling eastbound on West Presqueisle Street. Police said that was when Michael W. Bennett entered the roadway from between two parked cars. The Renner vehicle, then, struck, the man who was thrown to the pavement as a result.

Renner wasn’t injured as a result of the accident.
