Orlando, Florida (AHN) - Independence Day got an early start at Walt Disney World this weekend, with the unveiling of a fake president and more than 1,000 new real citizens.
An animated, speaking, figure of President Barack Obama will join a lineup of America's 42 other presidents when the theme park opens a newly revamped Hall of Presidents exhibit.
President Obama himself recorded the brief comments spoken by his "audio-animatronic" doppelganger at the White House. Disney staffers worked with the White House to ensure that his wardrobe, hair and mannerisms were as accurate as possible.
The Hall of Presidents is one of the original exhibits at the park, which opened in 1971.
On Friday, more than 1,000 persons took the oath of citizenship at the park. The former immigrants, aged from 18 to 80, came from more than 100 countries.
