Markets Mixed As Feds Stay Interest Reates

New York, NY (AHN) - Markets were mixed on Wednesday after the Federal Reserve said it would maintain current interest rates for the foreseeable future.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 114 points before finishing up 30 points, or 0.3 percent, to 9,802.14. Most of the Dow's components advanced.

The Nasdaq Composite Index was virtually unchanged, ending down 0.09 percent.

The Standard and Poor's 500 Index edged up 1 point, or 0.1 percent, to 1,046.50.
