An incident of harassment occurred at 4:44 p.m. Saturday along the Bennetts Valley Highway in Jay Township, Elk County. A Weedville man and woman were allegedly engaged in a verbal argument when he spit in her face. He’s been charged with harassment through the district court. Read More →

An incident of DUI occurred at 12:48 a.m. Sunday along state Route 948 in Fox Township, Elk County. A 43-year-old Ridgway woman was stopped for a routine traffic stop, and after a preliminary investigation, she was arrested for DUI and transported for blood testing at the Elk Regional Health Center. An incident of theft occurred sometime between 12 a.m. April 12 and 12 a.m. May 2 along River Road in Jay Township, Elk County. A person(s) obtained a 64-year-old Weedville man’s debit card number and then used it to make purchases without his permission. The investigation is ongoing. An incident of DUI occurred at 12:54 a.m. Sunday along state Route 255 in Jay Township, Elk County. A 52-year-old Dagus Mines was stopped for a traffic violation. While speaking with him, state police detected a strong odor of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI and other summary charges that were filed through the district court. An incident of theft occurred March 9 at the Bilo Super Market in Ridgway Township, Elk County. A known 38-year-old Johnsonburg man picked up food items that were to be donated to the Northern Food Bank Inc.
