An incident of theft/criminal mischief occurred sometime between 12 a.m. Thursday and 6:30 a.m. Friday at Curtis Park in Philipsburg Borough. Someone removed multiple lawn ornaments from known and unknown locations. The signs were then scattered on and around the softball field at the Philipsburg-Osceola High School. Sometime between May 11 and Tuesday in Philipsburg Borough, known persons stole U.S. Currency and several pieces of jewelry. The total stolen was approximately $4,000. Minor injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident Tuesday on the Port Matilda Highway in Rush Township. William Little, 35, and George Stratton, 48, both of Morrisdale, were traveling eastbound at the time of the accident. Stratton was following a tractor-trailer uphill when Little came up behind him. Little was unable to avoid the Stratton vehicle, which had slowed due to the slow moving traffic....

A 21-year-old Philipsburg man was stopped Sunday at the intersection of Railroad Street and Lochlomond Road in Philipsburg Borough. He was subsequently arrested for suspected driving under the influence. In addition, a vehicle search revealed suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
