An incident of DUI occurred at approximately 2:21 a.m. Saturday along Fifth Avenue in Brockway Borough, Jefferson County. A 25-year-old Brockway man was stopped for a traffic violation and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI. While staying overnight at a 49-year-old Penfield woman’s residence, a 22-year-old Rockton woman stole the first woman’s purse. The purse contained some money and medications. At 9 p.m. Wednesday, state police responded to Just for Jesus Ministry and determined there was an active warrant for a 45-year-old Brockway man. He was taken into custody without incident and placed in the Jefferson County Jail. He’s currently awaiting extradition to Cambria County. Read More →

A theft from a motor vehicle occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County. A person(s) removed a car stereo and six CDs from a 29-year-old Falls Creek man’s unlocked vehicle, while it was parked outside his residence. Total loss is estimated at $160.
