An incident of theft occurred sometime between 3 p.m. April 23 and 11 a.m. Friday at the Verizon Towner on Alderton Road in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. An incident of DUI occurred at approximately 2:21 a.m. Saturday along Fifth Avenue in Brockway Borough, Jefferson County. A 25-year-old Brockway man was stopped for a traffic violation and determined to be under the influence of alcohol. He was subsequently arrested for DUI. An incident of criminal mischief occurred sometime between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Thursday at a residence along U.S. Route 322 in Winslow Township, Jefferson County. A person(s) shot a Reynoldsville woman’s residence with an air rifle/pistol and caused damage to its siding. An incident of theft occurred sometime between 2 a.m. and 6:45 a.m. Monday in Huston Township, Clearfield County. While staying overnight at a 49-year-old Penfield woman’s residence, a 22-year-old Rockton woman stole the first woman’s purse. The purse contained some money and medications. At 9 p.m. Wednesday, state police responded to Just for Jesus Ministry and determined there was an active warrant for a 45-year-old Brockway man. He was taken into custody without incident and placed in the Jefferson County Jail. He’s currently awaiting extradition to Cambria County.  Read More →

A theft from a motor vehicle occurred sometime between 9 p.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday in Falls Creek Borough, Jefferson County. A person(s) removed a car stereo and six CDs from a 29-year-old Falls Creek man’s unlocked vehicle, while it was parked outside his residence. Total loss is estimated at $160.
