An incident of theft occurred at 7:30 a.m. Saturday at a private property off of Greenwood Road in Pike Township, Clearfield County. Three known male suspects entered a 45-year-old Curwensville man’s property and removed scrap metal from it. They attempted to leave before being confronted by the victim. No injuries were reported following a single-vehicle accident at 11 p.m. Thursday along state Route 879 in Karthaus Township, Clearfield County. A 22-year-old Frenchville man was traveling westbound when he fell asleep. His vehicle drifted off the left-hand side of the roadway, striking an embankment. Someone stole junk cars belonging to a Brisbin man. The vehicles were located on private property off of Sterling Road in Brisbin. They are valued at $500. Anyone with information is asked to call police. A Clearfield man was arrested for suspicion of DUI after he was stopped for several traffic violations on state Route 879.
