CLEARFIELD – Santa Claus will arrive in downtown Clearfield at 12 p.m. Saturday as part of the Clearfield YMCA Christmas Parade.
The line-up will take place on North Third Street between Reed and Locust streets. The parade will step off from the corner of Third and Locust streets.
Participants will proceed on North Third Street, turning right onto Cherry Street, right onto North Second Street and then right onto Locust Street.
The parade line-up will feature:
- William L. Dixon Detachment Marine Corps League;
- Clearfield Borough Police with Mayor Jim Schell;
- Clearfield Bison Marching Band;
- Children’s Aid Society;
- Rachel Duke, Pennsylvania State Fair Queen Alternate;
- Animal Welfare Council/Allegheny Spay & Neuter Clinic;
- Clearfield Emergency Medical Center;
- Christmas characters: The Grinch and Christmas Yeti;
- Clearfield County Fair Queens;
- Orphans of the Storm;
- YMCA Child Care;
- The Progress (Rudolph & Rudy);
- Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre Inc. (Elf Jr.);
- 501st Legion Star Wars;
- Toys for Tots Train;
- CNB Bank;
- WOKW 102.9;
- 4H Silver Stirrup;
- Girl Scouts Service Unit No. 2670; and
- Clearfield Volunteer Fire Department with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus.
Santa will arrive to Clearfield via a fire truck. After the parade, all children, along with their parents, are invited to join Santa and Mrs. Claus inside the YMCA gym.
Free hot chocolate, cookies, a craft and photo opportunities with Santa will be part of the fun. The public is invited to attend and parents should bring their camera.
