McGuire Faces Charges for Leading State Police on Pursuit

PHILIPSBURG – A 29-year-old Osceola man, Christopher George McGuire, has been accused of leading Philipsburg-based state police on a pursuit Saturday.

According to the incident report, state police attempted a traffic stop on a black 2002 Chevrolet Malibu on North Front Street in Philipsburg. It was being operated by McGuire, who failed to stop and who fled at a high rate of speed.

McGuire allegedly led state police on a pursuit that lasted two to three miles. He crashed his vehicle and then fled on foot. McGuire was later apprehended and taken into custody.

McGuire was arraigned on numerous charges including, DUI, fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest and others that were drug-related.
