CLEARFIELD – Registration for the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library’s second fall story session will begin Monday, Nov. 7. In Holiday Magic, pre-school aged children will experience the joy of the holidays through stories, games, activities, crafts and music.
The PA Forward initiative, launched by the Pennsylvania Library Association (PaLA) in 2012, supports the efforts of libraries across the state as leaders in community education. At least one of the five literacies of PA Forward will help guide discussions within the fall story session theme.
The five-week program begins Nov. 14 and the Shaw Public Library is offering baby time, toddle time and story time sessions to all area pre-schoolers ages 6 months through 5 years of age.
Baby time classes are open to children ages 6 months through 2 years of age on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. Toddle time classes, for children ages 2 to 3 years of age, will follow on Mondays and Wednesdays from 11:15 a.m. until 12 p.m.
On Tuesdays, there will be two story time classes, the first from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. and the second from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. for all 4 and 5 year olds.
Parents and guardians may register their child for the upcoming session by visiting the library during regular business hours or by calling 814-765-3271.
Shaw Public Library is open Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m., and Fridays from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m.
