CLEARFIELD – A Philipsburg man accused of having sexual relations with a girl waived the charges to court at his preliminary hearing Wednesday at the Clearfield County Jail.
Michael George Bickle, 19, of Philipsburg has been charged with rape forcible compulsion; statutory sexual assault/four to eight years older; involuntary deviate sexual intercourse/person less than 16 years; aggravated indecent assault/person less than 16 years; and indecent assault/person less than 16 years. Bail has been set at $50,000 unsecured.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Aug. 26 the victim’s mother alleged to state police that Bickle had sexual relations with her daughter who was 14 years old during the early-morning hours that day.
On Aug. 30 there was an interview conducted at the Clearfield County Children’s Advocacy Center. During the interview, the victim corroborated her mother’s report to state police.
On Oct. 25 Bickle appeared to the Clearfield barracks for an interview. He confessed to having sexual relations with the victim. He is also over four years older than the victim, according to the affidavit.
