LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP – An unoccupied house caught fire early Thursday morning on White Road in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County.
Firefighters received a call shortly before 7 a.m., and the fire was reported in the attic-area. Upon arrival to the scene, firefighters found a “fully-involved structure fire,” officials told GANT News Partner WJAC-TV.
Firefighters were unable to enter the house and requested ladder trucks to assist with fighting the fire from the bottom.
The homeowners had recently moved out of the house, fire officials said; however, there were concerns because the electricity was still on. Firefighters had to remove a wrap-around porch in order to extinguish all of the flames.
A Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal was called to investigate the fire, according to the report, and his investigation is ongoing at this time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Lawrence Township police at 814-765-1533 or the state police fire marshal at Ridgway at 814-776-6136.
