DUBOIS – The administration of DuBois Central Catholic announces important ‘back-to-school’ dates and events for the upcoming school year. The first day of classes for students and faculty is Tuesday, Aug. 30.
According to secondary Principal Dawn Bressler, an orientation for new DCC students entering seventh grade and above will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 16, at 6 p.m. An orientation for new sixth graders will be held Thursday, Aug. 18, at 6 p.m.
Parents and guardians of the newly-enrolled middle and high students are encouraged to attend. Call the secondary main office at 814-371-3060 for additional information.
According to elementary Principal Gretchen Caruso, new elementary families in grades one, two and three will report for an orientation session on Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
A student-parent session for ‘all’ fourth graders and new fifth graders will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 24, from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m. On Thursday, Aug. 25, all kindergarten students and families will attend an orientation from 9 a.m. – 10 a.m.
Caruso adds, “Pre-School orientations will be taking place based on each section; call the elementary office at 814-371-2570 for details and times.”
Teacher in-service days for all faculty members system-wide will be held on Monday, Aug. 22 and Tuesday, Aug. 23, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. both days.
Planned for the evening of Tuesday, Aug. 16, is a family movie night for all families of DCC students, starting at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. Call the Admissions Office at 814-371-6689 for further details about this fun ‘back-to-school’ event.
