Mural to be Dedicated in Downtown DuBois

DUBOIS – The Downtown DuBois Revitalization Group has announced the dedication of a new mural created at the rear of the Shankel’s parking lot.

The mural is on the back wall of Charlie’s Alternators on Franklin Street, DuBois.

The dedication will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at the mural site on Franklin Street.

The Mural Committee is working hand-in-hand with the Downtown Group to complete a mural project at least once a year.

Chairman Dave Clark noted that the project was really a collaboration of several artists participating at various stages. It was noted that the mural incorporates nature, DuBois history and some fun components.

Community members are invited to attend the dedication but more importantly reminded to enjoy the mural when they’re out and about.
