Lois L. Monella, 82, of DuBois died Wednesday March 23, 2016 at her home.
Born Oct. 2, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Chick) Lines.
She married Angelo V. Monella on March 22, 1952. He preceded her in death on June 9, 2011.
Mrs. Monella was a homemaker and a volunteer at Penn Highlands Hospital.
She worked on the election board for the Oklahoma Precinct in Sandy Township for many years. She was also one of the founders of the Oklahoma Elementary PTA.
Surviving are five children, Cindy Lydick and her husband, Steve of Falls Creek, Sue Thom and her husband, Ken of Ridgway; Pat Monella and her companion, Lou Jordan of Reynoldsville and David Monella and Daniel Monella and his wife, Michelle, both of DuBois.
Also surviving are a son-in-law, Ed Rieg of Big Run, 12 grandchildren, one step-grandchild, 16 great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and her sister, Helen Shaw of Cabot.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lorna Rieg and a granddaughter, Sydney Rae Anthony.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc., DuBois.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc., with Pastor Kevin Bockus officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
