James A. Netterblade Jr., 51, of Munson died Thursday, Dec. 10, 2015 at his residence. Born Aug. 31, 1964 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Sandra Jean Jones Netterblade and James A. Netterblade Sr. of Munson.
Mr. Netterblade was a 1982 graduate of the West Branch High School. He was a 1985 graduate of Penn State as a mechanical engineer. He belonged to the Penn State Alumni Association.
He had worked at Quik Fill in Kylertown, Avery Coal, Terra Energy, Corning, and most recently for Textron Lycoming in Williamsport, where he was an airplane engine assembler.
He married Kathy Coudriet Netterblade on Sept. 21, 2013 in Munson. She survives.
Mr. Netterblade is survived by a step-son, Douglas G. Weld Jr. and his girlfriend, Destiny Dixon of Philipsburg; a sister, Jeannine Renee Netterblade and her fiancé, Eric L. Yarger of Lanse; and three step-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a step-son, James Erich Jr.; his paternal grandparents, Axel E. and Mildred F. Netterblade; his maternal grandmother, Lenetta T. Muirhead; an uncle, Raymond Muirhead; and various aunts and uncles.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Strange & Weaver Funeral Home, Morrisdale, with Pastor Matt Mitchell officiating.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
