Joseph M. Rosman, 81, of Sykesville died Sunday, Oct. 25, 2015 at his home. Born Aug. 30, 1934, he was the son of the late Charles and Anna (Danch) Rosman.
On Aug. 30, 1958 in Sykesville, he married Barbara (Dubensky) Rosman. She preceded him in death on May 9, 2012.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Rosman retired after 35 years of service from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
He was a member of the St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in DuBois. He was a past member of the Sykesville American Legion Post 345. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, gardening, and most of all, he enjoyed sitting on his front porch bird watching.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
Mr. Rosman was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Wassil Rosman Sr. and three sisters, Mary Foxx, Sophie Wehring and Helen Koromaus.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home. A Panikhida service will be held at 7 p.m.
A service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Fr. Mark Meholick officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Trinity Byzantine Catholic Cemetery in Sykesville.
