Lois Ann Dungey Aughenbaugh, 81, of DuBois died Friday, Oct. 16, 2015 at her home surrounded by her family.
Born Jan. 26, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Francis “Frank” E. and Annie (Oyston) Dungey.
She worked for many years at K-Mart in DuBois, holding several positions, but she was most known for managing the cafeteria.
She was a lifetime member of the Episcopal Church of Our Savior in DuBois, where she was involved with the ECW, the Altar Guild, the Tuesday Bible Study Group, Bell Choir and she was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was also a Hospice volunteer and enjoyed quilting, bowling, gardening and flowers. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan. She enjoyed cooking and was well-known for her award winning pies. She especially enjoyed attending her family’s many sporting events.
She is survived by her children, Linda O’Dell and her husband, John of La Grange, NC, Richard “Lee” Aughenbaugh and his wife, Jeanne of Macon, Ga., and Curtis A. ”Buster” Aughenbaugh Jr. and his wife, Judy, James S. Aughenbaugh and his wife, Lynn and William B. Aughenbaugh, all of DuBois; two sisters, Ellen Stahlnecker and her husband, George of DuBois and Helen Ruth Himes and her husband, Elton of Reynoldsville; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis “Art” Aughenbaugh Sr.; a sister, Doris Brooks; and two brothers, Ed and William Dungey.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Episcopal Church of Our Savior with Pastor Melinda Hall officiating.
Burial will be in Morningside Cemetery.
