Mary (Glusko) Zazvrskey, 89, of Pittsburgh and formerly of Madera, died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at HCR Manorcare, Whitehall.
Born May 10, 1926 in Smoke Run, she was the daughter of the late Metro and Susan (Wavro) Glusko.
She was a member of the St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ramey. She worked as flower arranger, a seamstress and a homemaker.
She is survived by four daughters, Connie Dugan, and her husband, Michael of Madera, Cindy Roseweir and Linda Zazvrskey, both of Pittsburgh, and Brenda Zazvrskey of California; one sister, Ann Sobol of Kenmore, NY; and five grandchildren, Christie, Ryan, Jason, Justin and Jessica.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Zazvrskey, and seven brothers, George, Walter, John, Joe, Mike, Victor and Metro.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Madera. A Parastas services will be sung at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with Fr. Anthony Balistreri.
A Panikhida Service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, Ramey, with Fr. Anthony Balistreri officiating. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Ramey.
