DUBOIS – A 20-month-old child was flown to a Children’s Hospital for emergency treatment after falling from a second-floor window of an Evergreen Street residence on Wednesday, according to DuBois City police.
According to the report, police were dispatched at 6:45 p.m. to assist emergency personnel with a child patient on Evergreen Street. Police were advised the child had fallen from a second-floor window.
Upon investigation police found the child and a sibling had been playing in an adjacent room to his father. The child climbed onto a toy chest and leaned against the screen, which gave out, police said.
The child was subsequently flown to a Children’s Hospital for emergency treatment. His condition is unknown, according to police. However, police noted that the child was awake and crying at the time of the incident.
