CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of July 20.
Shaw identified the fugitive as Robert Selfridge, 35, of Main Street, Falls Creek. Selfridge is wanted for failure to appear at a Pre-trial Conference held July 16.
On Feb. 23, 2015, Sergeant Kris Kruzelak of the Sandy Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint against Selfridge. He charged Selfridge with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, F; person not to possess firearms, F2; firearms not to be carried without a license, F3; possession of a controlled substance, M; possession of a small amount of marijuana, M; and 6) possession of drug paraphernalia, M.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Feb. 19 police were dispatched to a local hotel for an activated fire alarm. Upon arrival officers were advised that smoke and an odor of marijuana were coming from a room that had caused the alarm.
Officers were further advised that a male, later identified as Selfridge, remained in the room and packed unknown items into two duffel bags, which he then put into a vehicle.
After receiving a search warrant for the vehicle, officers discovered three handguns, drug paraphernalia and various controlled substances including, methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, and prescription pills.
A preliminary hearing was scheduled for Feb. 27, at which time all charges were held for court. On July 16 Selfridge failed to appear for a Pre-trial Conference, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Selfridge is described as a Caucasian male who stands 6 feet tall. He has hazel eyes and brown hair.
