CLEARFIELD – Are You Ready for The Adult Summer Reading Challenge?
Area adults are invited to “Escape the Ordinary @ the Joseph & Elizabeth Shaw Public Library” this summer and sign up to participate in the Summer Reading Challenge.
Sign-ups begin June 8 at the Shaw Public Library during regular business hours.
The challenge dates are from June 15th – August 8th and asks adults to determine: How many books can you read this summer?
The challenge is simple: Read or listen to any book(s) you like, fill out a ticket when you finish a book(s), and maybe, win a prize.
For those who want to take it to the next level—weekly challenges will be posted on each Friday on Facebook and at the library to earn an extra prize drawing ticket. Also, adults that attend programs will receive an extra prize drawing ticket.
Each Friday, a prize winner will be drawn at 12 p.m. from that week’s reading entries. Be sure to read at least one book or attend an adult program every week to be eligible for all six weekly drawings.
Drawing tickets will be available at the front desk each week and should be turned in at the Shaw Public Library by 9 p.m. each Thursday to be qualified for the Friday drawing.
On Aug. 12, a grand prize winner sponsored by the Friends of the Shaw Public Library will be drawn from all of the entries turned in during the summer, so read as much as you can. The grand prize is a Kindle Fire HD.
