State police at Clearfield
- An incident of assault/harassment occurred Wednesday on Colorado Drive in Woodward Township. During the incident, a couple allegedly engaged in a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation. Both individuals were cited for the incident through the district court, state police said.
- State police have located the child involved in a custody dispute Tuesday on Pearce Hollow Road in Cooper Township.
- An incident of fleeing and eluding occurred April 25 in Clearfield Borough. Further, state police received information about a female who had sent messages about harming herself. State police made several attempts to check the welfare of the female. She was allegedly observed in the CVS Pharmacy parking lot and started to flee the scene. State police attempted to conduct a traffic stop, which resulted in a pursuit. After several miles, the female pulled over and was taken into custody without further incident near the Lawrence Township Police Department. State police were assisted by the Clearfield Borough and Lawrence Township police. Charges were filed for multiple traffic violations through the district court, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of criminal mischief/disorderly conduct occurred Tuesday on North Fifth Street in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, a 27-year-old Altoona woman allegedly damaged two screen windows and a set of blinds at the victim’s rental property. She then allegedly started yelling obscenities toward the victim and a neighbor near the residence. The woman was cited through the district court, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police recovered a lost phone that was located in the Clearfield Mall parking lot. The owner may claim the phone by contacting police.
- Police received a report about an online scam. The victim allegedly purchased a prom dress but never received it.
- Police received a speeding complaint that occurred on Lawrence Avenue. School traffic is reportedly traveling at a high rate through the area, police said. Police will provide extra patrols.
- Police received a report about alleged drug activity in the parking lot at Family Dollar.
- Police received a report about an alleged theft from a business. The incident remains under investigation at this time, police said.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an argument involving a male and female Wednesday at the Dollar General Store. Police warned the individuals about their actions, but they allegedly continued to be disorderly. Police cited both the male and female for disorderly conduct as a result.
- On Wednesday police obtained an arrest warrant and placed a Philipsburg man in jail to await arraignment on charges of intimidation of witnesses, retaliation against a witness, obstruction of the administration of law or other government function, official oppression and hindering apprehension or prosecution. Police said the man was arrested for his alleged interference in an officer performing his duties and arrest of another.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Wednesday at a James Street residence. Police said it was determined to be a verbal argument involving a man who was allegedly intoxicated.
