DUBOIS – Last night, the Sandy Township Board of Supervisors held its reorganizational meeting for 2015.
Jim Jeffers was selected as the township’s chairman and Dave Sylvis as its vice chairman. Barbara Miller was selected as its secretary and Shelly Reasinger as its assistant secretary.
Robert Wilson was selected for the township’s vacancy board; Dave Monella for township manager; Perry Bowser for township engineer; and Ferraro, Kruk & Ferraro for township solicitor.
Jeffers was selected as the township’s voting delegate for the state convention.
Also, the supervisors appointed Richard Castonguay as economic development specialist; Joe Bowser to a three-year term to the Zoning Hearing Board; Tom Allshouse to a four-year term on the planning commission; Castonguay to a five-year term on DuFAST Transit; Miller (Monella as alternate) for tax collection committee representative; and John Hallowell as fire chief.
In other business, the supervisors voted to continue regular public meetings on the first and third Monday of the month and to advertise information and workshop meetings as necessary.
