State police at Clearfield
- An accident occurred Wednesday on Crooked Sewer Road in Woodward Township. Sandra Dillon of Morann was traveling north when her vehicle went onto the east berm and struck an embankment. After impact her vehicle crossed both lanes and came to a rest along the west berm. Dillon was cited for careless driving, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged physical altercation at a local school. The incident, police said, was handled with school discipline.
- Police handled a parking dispute.
- Police assisted with a school bus that had become stuck on the roadway in the area of Norman and Caldwell roads.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident on Coal Hill Road. However, the vehicle was gone upon police arrival to the scene.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on the Clearfield – Glen Richey Highway. One vehicle slid on the icy roadway before spinning around and striking a vehicle traveling behind it, police said. No injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
- Police received a report about a two-vehicle accident on Route 879. No injuries or towing were reported, police said.
- Police received a report about a burglary alarm at Lowe’s. The report was unfounded, police said.
- Police received a report about a burglary alarm on Four Run Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief at the Lawrence Park Village Apartments.
- Police received a report about a single-vehicle accident involving a deer. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was driven from the scene, police said.
Sandy Township
- Police observed a vehicle being driven erratically Wednesday on Clear Run Road. When they pulled the vehicle over, the 30-year-old driver appeared to be intoxicated. When the Treasure Lake man failed field sobriety testing, he was transported to Penn Highlands for a legal blood draw. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police responded to DuBois Drug and Wellness for an activated alarm on Wednesday. Upon arrival they found an open door. Upon investigation it appeared to have been pried open. Nothing was missing from the business, police adding that the investigation is continuing.
- A 52-year-old Treasure Lake man was traveling Wednesday on Cap Haitian Road when he lost control of his vehicle due to icy conditions. His vehicle subsequently traveled across the roadway, over an embankment and came to a rest in a ditch. No injuries were reported, police said.
- On Thursday, a vehicle driven by a 20-year-old DuBois man was unable to stop due to icy roadways and rear-ended a vehicle driven by a 26-year-old LaJose woman who was exiting Wal-Mart on the Bee Line Highway. No injuries were reported and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- For unknown reasons, a vehicle driven by a 64-year-old DuBois man crossed the center lane of DuBois Rockton Road and hit a vehicle driven by a DuBois man on Thursday. Both drivers were flown to Altoona for treatment of injuries; both vehicles were severely damaged, police said.
- A 22-year-old DuBois man reported that while his vehicle was parked Thursday at the DuBois Mall, someone hit it, which caused minor damage.
