State police at Philipsburg
- An incident of theft occurred sometime between Sept. 13 and Sept. 27 on Logan Street in Rush Township. Further, the victim told state police that multiple heavy construction items were stolen from a business. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
State police at DuBois
- A hit-and-run accident occurred Thursday on Barletta Road in Winslow Township. The accident, state police said, occurred in the area of Barletta, Sprague and Bottom roads when the operator of a vehicle traveled through and exited the roadway. As a result, the vehicle caused property damage and its operator fled the scene. State police noted the suspect vehicle should have heavy front-end damage. Anyone with information about the accident is asked to contact state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- An incident of access device fraud occurred Friday on Home Camp Road in Union Township. During the incident, someone unlawfully obtained the victim’s credit/debit card information and placed multiple fraudulent purchases. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the state police at DuBois at 814-371-4652.
- An incident of theft occurred sometime Saturday or Sunday at an Advanced Disposal Services property in Washington Township. Further, someone allegedly removed side view mirrors from the victim’s vehicle. The incident, state police said, remains under investigation at this time.
State police at Ridgway
- An incident of harassment occurred Saturday on Joy Gardens Road in Jones Township. During the incident, two Wilcox residents allegedly engaged in a verbal altercation. The incident, state police said, became physical when a woman struck a male several times in the head. The woman was cited for the incident.
- An incident of DUI occurred Saturday on Silver Creek Road in Ridgway Township. Further, a 39-year-old Johnsonburg man was arrested for suspected DUI after he was allegedly observed committing several traffic violations. He was taken to Elk Penn Highlands for blood testing. Charges, state police said, are currently pending blood test results.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespass on Evans Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of retail theft that occurred at Wal-Mart. The incident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with apprehending a juvenile who was wanted by probation.
- Police received a report about a female who was allegedly shoplifting at Wal-Mart. Charges, police said, are currently pending.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation. The motorist was gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report about a civil dispute and referred the caller to the appropriate agencies.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident in the Holiday Inn parking lot.
- Police received a report about a burglary alarm in the Golden Rod area.
- Police received a report about a reckless driver on Route 879.
- Police received a report about a suspicious male near the Clearfield Mall on Route 322.
- Police assisted a tractor-trailer operator who was stuck on Route 879 near the Interstate 80 off-ramp. Towing services also assisted at the scene, police said.

- Police received a report about a possible careless driving complaint on Routes 322 and 879. Upon arrival police checked the condition of the motorist who was found to be OK.

Curwensville Borough
- Police assisted a male with obtaining personal items on Fredericka Street on Friday.
- A Clearfield woman was arrested for DUI after a traffic stop on Route 879 on Friday.
- A Curwensville man was arrested for DUI on Saturday.
- A Clearfield man was arrested Saturday after he allegedly broke into an Anderson Street residence while the victims were asleep. The man, police said, entered the bedroom area and assaulted a victim. The man was arraigned on charges of burglary, criminal trespass, assault and related offenses. He was lodged in the Clearfield County Jail.
DuBois City
- A Chevrolet Blazer was struck by another vehicle Friday while parked in the 100 block of Spring Avenue. The operator of the suspect vehicle then fled the scene; it sustained minor to moderate damage, police said. The accident remains under investigation at this time.
- A 19-year-old DuBois man allegedly removed alcohol from a wedding reception that was being held in the 200 block of South Brady Street on Friday. Police located the man but were unable to locate the stolen items. Charges, police said, are currently pending at this time.
- On Saturday, a 23-year-old Bradford man broke through a door and fled from DuBois Penn Highlands – East. Police located the man who allegedly resisted when they attempted to take him into custody. The man, police said, allegedly bit one officer and wouldn’t comply with commands to stop his actions. Police deployed a taser in order to handcuff and return him to the hospital. Charges, police said, are currently pending at this time.
- Police initiated an investigation into the alleged theft of a wallet from a vehicle that was parked in the 100 block of West Scribner Avenue on Saturday.
- Police received a report about kids who were allegedly trying to get inside a vacant residence Saturday in the 200 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival police didn’t find anyone or any damage.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic disturbance Sunday in the 500 block of Knarr Street. Upon arrival police made contact with a man and his son and another relative. Police were able to resolve the situation.
- Police received a report about two men who were allegedly fighting in an apartment Sunday in the 100 block of East DuBois Avenue. Both men suffered minor injuries but didn’t want to receive any medical attention. Also, police reported that neither man wanted to press charges.
Sandy Township
- A false alarm occurred Friday at Kay Jewelers.
- On Friday, a Forsyth Road resident reported that someone drove through her yard, which caused damage to the landscaping. No other residents in the area reported damage, said police.
- While driving on the Bee Line Highway on Friday, a 28-year-old Treasure Lake woman became distracted and failed to stop in time to avoid rear-ending a vehicle driven by a 36-year-old Washington State man. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, said police.
- While backing out of a parking space at the DuBois Mall on Friday, a vehicle driven by a 31-year-old DuBois woman was struck by a vehicle driven by a 40-year-old Ridgway man. Moderate damage and no injuries were reported, said police.
- On Saturday, police responded to a Wayne Road residence for an alleged dispute between a worker and a resident. The dispute, police said, was verbal in nature and handled without incident.
- A Kilmer Road resident reported hearing an accident in front of their home on Sunday. Upon arrival police found a vehicle stuck in a ditch and its operator was standing outside of it. Further, police detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from the 28-year-old DuBois man and had him perform field sobriety tests. After failing the first test, he refused further testing. He was taken into custody and transported for a blood-alcohol test. The man, police said, became belligerent with officers and hospital staff and refused the blood test. He was taken to jail and placed on a 48-hour retainer. Charges, police said, are currently pending at this time.
- On Sunday, employees of the Carmike Cinema reported that a patron had a gun on him, and per theater policy, no guns were allowed inside. Police located the 21-year-old Punxsutawney man and handled the situation without incident.
- Police responded to an accident on Lincoln Drive on Sunday. The operator of the vehicle had left the scene and the vehicle was being towed away. The accident, police said, remains under investigation at this time.
- On Sunday, a Two Turtles Road, Treasure Lake, resident reported that someone attempted to gain access to his residence by breaking a window on the basement door. The offender, police said, was unable to gain access and fled the scene.
- On Sunday, police assisted Mobile Crisis with serving a 302 warrant on a 35-year-old Treasure Lake man. The man, police said, was transported to Penn Highlands without incident. While transporting him, the man provided police with details about a crime he said he committed in Texas. Police subsequently contacted the local authorities who are looking into the incident.
