Port Matilda Man Accused of Simple Assault, Harassment

HALFMOON TOWNSHIP – A 30-year-old Port Matilda man, Robert R. Partner II, is facing charges after an alleged simple assault incident Thursday on Houtz Lane in Halfmoon Township, reported the state police at Philipsburg.

Partner allegedly assaulted the victim on multiple occasions over a period of time. The victim sustained multiple injuries about her body, and it wasn’t until Partner passed out that she was able to escape her residence, state police said.

The victim went to a family member’s residence for assistance. Her family member contacted state police. The victim was transported to the Mount Nittany Medical Center by private vehicle for treatment of her injuries, state police said.

Partner was arrested Thursday and arraigned on charges of simple assault and harassment before Magisterial District Judge Leslie Dutchcot. Partner was lodged in the Centre County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.

Partner’s preliminary hearing is currently pending at this time.
