CLEARFIELD – The fourth annual Pumpkin Run/Walk 5K and Fall Festival will return Saturday to downtown Clearfield. Festivities are hosted by the Clearfield Revitalization Corp.
Day-of race registration will be held from 7 a.m. – 8 a.m. at Market Square. The race will get under way at 8:30 a.m.
Parade of Paws and Runway with the Clearfield County SPCA will be held in conjunction with the 5K run/walk. Please visit www.ClearfieldPumpkinRun.com for more information.
After the race, the fall festival will take place from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will be held on East Market, Third and Locust streets and will feature something for everyone.
More than 100 artisans will feature work ranging from ceramics, fiber, wood, leather and metalwork to jewelry, glass, photography, and mixed-media art pieces.
There will be an array of food and plenty of entertainment at the Lezzer Lumber Stage and in front of the Courthouse. Also, a Classic Car Show will be held in and around the Third Street parking lot.
Kids will be able to “Chalk-Up” Clearfield by designing their own square on the sidewalk compliments of Historica Plus Antiques. Clearfield Fire and Safety personnel will show off their fire trucks to kids.
There will be free hay rides leaving from the Courthouse from 12 p.m. until 4 p.m. There will also be games and fall activities for kids all day throughout the festival.
Carved pumpkins can be submitted at the CRC booth for contestants who are 3 -12 years of age. Submitted pumpkins will be on display and can be voted on throughout the day.
In addition, festivalgoers will be able to experience the Pennsylvania DUI Simulator sponsored by State Farm Agent Rob Bozovich and explore the “Daughter of Darkness” Vietnam War Truck and the Red Cross Ambulance.
