Belarus routs Tajikistan in international friendly

Minsk, Belarus (4E Sports) – Belarus scored five goals in the second half en route to a 6-1 triumph over Tajikistan in Thursday’s international friendly at Dinamo Stadion.

Igor Stasevich opened scoring for Belarus in the seventh minute before Fatkhullo Fatkhuloev tied the count in the 34th minute.

In the second half, Sergey Kornilenko opened the floodgates for Belarus with a goal in the 55th minute before Sergei Krivets added another in the 59th minute.

Two minutes later, Edgar Olekhnovich and Sergey Kisliak scored back-to-back goals before Ilya Aleksievich completed scoring for Belarus, which clinched its first over Tajikistan in their first-ever encounter.

Meanwhile, China defeated Kuwait, 3-1, in a friendly at Tianhe Stadium.

The Kuwaitis got on the board first via a first-half stoppage time goal by Khaled Hajiah but the Chinese responded with goals from Yang Xu in the 53rd minute, Hanchao Yu in the 64th minute and Lei Wu in the 90th minute.

In other friendly matches, Uzbekistan beat Jordan, 2-0; Bosnia-Herzegovina defeated Liechtenstein, 3-0; Peru blanked Iraq, 2-0; and Slovakia beat Malta, 1-0.
