Hollywood, CA, United States (4E) – McKayla Maroney has denied that the alleged nude photos that leaked online are fake but her teammates have been very protective of her as they expressed their thoughts online with regard to the massive hacking.
Aly Reisman, one of the teammates of Maroney who was part of the 2012 Gold medal team, tweeted a very serious message addressed to the hacker.
Reisman tweeted: “This scandal is not a joke and it is upsetting that an invasion of privacy results in entertainment for some.”
She added, “Please respect the fact that the photos were private and not for the whole world to see. My heart is broken for the women who were violated.”
She ended her tweet by saying: “Every person is entitled to their own privacy. I am saddened that something like this has happened and I hope it never happens again.”
Gabby Douglas, another teammate of Maroney, tweeted a message to show support to the gymnast. Douglas wrote: “Love ya girl. #WeAreStrong #Champions.”
In the latest update of the nude photos that leaked online, Maronye’s attorney said that some of the photos were taken when she was still under 18. This then proves that there are parts of the photos which are real.
Her attorney added that they will be suing those who have a copy of the photos with child pornography.
The said photos were reportedly seen on pornography sites. The attorneys sent letters to those sites and they are demanding for the removal of the nude photos. According to another attorney of Maroney, the gymnast is the only one who owns the copyright of the photos and she is the only one who has the right to make it public.
One porn site called Porn.com removed the photos of McKayla as soon as they received the letter from her attorney, TMZ reports.
The gymnast also tweeted about the situation in the following statement: “The fake photos of me are crazy!! was trying to rise above it all, and not give “the creator” the time of day.. BUT you sir, need Jesus.”
