Charleston, SC, United States (4E Sports) – Earl Grant, an assistant coach at Clemson for Brad Brownell the past five seasons, will take over the head basketball coaching chores at College of Charleston.

He will replace Doug Wojcik, who was fired Aug. 5 after allegations that he was verbally abusive to players.

Grant has also been an assistant under Gregg Marshall for three years at Wichita State and an assistant for three years each at Winthrop and Citadel.

“I believe the College of Charleston has a boundless opportunity with Coach Earl Grant, and I am confident he will help launch a new beginning full of excellence, teamwork and success,” said school president Glenn McConnell.
